Facts and naughty germs

Since last Tuesday I have finished my facts for the first m’pire book. I am excited now I need to finish the bio’s of my characters to get a background feel of what makes them spark to life, and in doing so I am writing somewhat mini stories. Lately though I have been so tired, I have to take an antibiotics meant to destroy and kill naughty germs that causes blocked sweat glands. I hate this medicine; it makes me tired, nauseous and irritable. So because of this I have not wanted to take my bad mood out on my lovely character friends.

Working on novel and Bloggs

Sorry to have not written in a few days. Been pondering on rules and punishments, once I have those two done on the facts I will be done with the facts for the m’pire novel and finish working on background and picture info for m’pire. I best hurry since November is already half done and December is when I will work on the background and fact info for the moon people world.

I have also been working on getting my recipe book up to date and getting rid of recipes that were okay not great but okay. Putting pictures with the recipes I want to keep. By getting pictures of different recipes I have: I have managed to find some awesome blogs to look at and keep.

Hey if you have a blog you want me to look at leave me the address for the blog. Or if you know of an awesome blog tell me about it.

Rules and Punishment's

I am still working on m’pire facts but I am getting stuck at the rules of the society. I mean look at all the rules that we must follow in the world. You would think making rules up would be easy but I can come up with a few but then I have to think of punishments for breaking rules. Let’s face it nobody likes to be punished. Why would I want to do that to my characters they are becoming real and like friends to me?

Can anybody think of rules that could pertain to non-human super powerful race of humans? What should they not do in this world and if they break them what should there punishment be? I am lost help. If anyone comes up with a good rule I will put it in the book. Let me know what you think.

I am listening to 2 steps from hell and future world music while writing. Those artists really bring out the creativity in me, you should go to you tube to check them out.

Thursdays Work

Today I am working on the facts behind the m’pire world. What type of government do they have, what are the rules in their government, what is the punishment should one break the rule, how do they view humans, and many more questions that pertain to building a different world with different rules. I love this part of writing you can make up different worlds and people, situations that you may never face and go to different places you may never get to be in or see. I find this part the best part, creating the world and the obstacles the characters will face.

My hope in this blog is if I write for this blog everyday then I will get my creative juices flowing and hopefully my writing will become better. As well as, if I sit down to write for the blog I will open up the word to start writing in my book.

What is your favorite part to writing an essay, novella, or book? What helps a writer become a better writer?

November and December Goals

Goals for November and December of 2011

Work on the character background info, character lists, and facts about the story and the different worlds I am creating for both books.  I want to have a binder for each book so that when I am writing the books if I have any questions on facts or a certain characters looks I can go to my binder.

Some might say that is neurotic and over organizing could be my downfall but I realized I needed this organization when I was free writing and having to keep going back to different areas to find out if my character had blond hair or blue eyes so I could keep track.  Some people might say you should already know what that character looks like but I have read books where one person is short and then the next book they are tall or one minute the character had green eyes and then later in the book had blue eyes.  I want my characters to have one look thought out the whole books.

When both binders are done than I can finish writing the m’pire book and start on the moon people book.

If you are a writer what is your process in writing?  Is it free write then revise, or is it organization and then write?

Writing Goals

I have decided to write a book about a new race of species born from angels and demons. They are similar to vampires but are not.  I also have another idea about a race of people that live on the moon that I want to start writing about as well.

Awakening – The m’pire race

Moon People – The race on the moon

These two books is what I hoped to have done at the end of 2012, my goal is to organize the facts, characters and the world, write the story, revise the story, hire an editor and have them go over the books, then when the book is set to go find a graphic artist for the cover and publish the books electronically.  I want my first book to be free to get followers and honest opinions.

Chapter 5

Well apparently I do not do well with writing a blog post every day because I did not do well in the July blog challenge. I tend to forget to write a blog post or become very busy to even start a post. I had good intentions but fell by the wayside. I think my problem was that no one reads my posts and responds back. So I didn’t have motivation to continue everyday.
On my book front I think I am doing okay, not great because in order for me to do great then I need to write everyday but I don’t. I went back to my previous job but as a part time person. They have me working 29 hours but man at the end of the day I feel as though I have worked 12 and only want to go to bed. I think I just need to get back in the groove of working, exercising, and writing again. However even though I do not write everyday I have just finished Chapter 5, 35 pages and 14,500 words. I think that is awesome and very proud of my accomplishment.

feeling guilty

Well, lets see here I have been a bad girl by not writing every day on my blog. I feel guilty but I keep trying to write when I do remember to go to my blog. On Friday I found out my husband had to go out of the country for business so I was a bit bummed about that and didn’t get on the computer, just read and took what time I had with him yesterday. Tonight I am looking at my book to see what I can develop. I was watching Twister last night and man, I love that movie I was jumping up and down and covering my eyes when a tornado would almost kill them. I also just got a part time job that I will start on Tuesday which will make me work harder on my schedule and to follow through with that seclude.

my problem

I think going into this challenge I thought I had to be prepared and organized on what I wanted to write about each day. Thinking in that point of view I was like I will go through all the authors I like from A – Z and to talk about the different blogs I like, however great idea but not making me want to write each day.  Contemplating my problem I realized that I needed to talk more about myself and what interests me and what will get my creative juices flowing. I think I will write in my blog like I was writing in a diary. How my day went, how my writing went, my fears, my excitement, my accomplishments.

Dafeenah's Blog

Ever since I created a blog and sighed up for the blog challenged I have been looking at other people’s blogs. I love finding out new information as well as seeing if that person can offer me any services in the future. I found such a blog for indie writers. Dafeenah is a wonderful woman, who has gone through challenges in life and overcame them. I have had the fortune to read some of her writing through her blog. Just reading her blog posts makes me believe that she will be an amazing writer, I hope to one day see a book with her name as the author. Until then she helps build her profile and income through designing blog and cover designs for eBooks. I know when I finish my e-book I will be contacting her to design my e-book cover.
Her website is http://dafeenah-hiddentreasure.blogspot.com/p/indie-designz.html
Please go to her blog leave a message to say hi.

Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill is another amazing book author. Her series that deals with vampires is awesome in all ways, seems to be more real in the action and less with the in between the sheets aspect of the book. I love that her first 3 books deals with the relationship between the heroin and the main man squeeze. I have to say that I did not read her 4 book and after reading her reviews she cut out an important character that well really upset me to know. Understandably I will wait for her to write the next book and I will read the reviews to see how she fixes that problem if she does not fix the problem, then I am not going to finish the series. Even though I am a little upset at her right now, she is still an amazing author.
Her website link is http://www.chloeneill.com/
Have you ever read a series and become disappointed in the series and stopped reading that series, did you ever go back and finish that series later on?

Beth Fantaskey

Beth Fantaskey. Who is that you ask; she is a Young adult author. She also works as a professor in college, has two kids and still finds time to write amazing books. She makes me look like I am slacking off in my duty to my book.  She has written three books so far, her first book that I read anyway so to me it is her first book is Jessica’s Guide to dating on the dark side.  Then she wrote Jekyll loves Hyde, and last but defiantly not least is Jessica rules the dark side.  Her book Jessica’s guide to dating on the dark side is about a young American girl who discovers that she is a vampire and meets her prince charming along the way. I find that her book was a little on the darker side than the romance side.  I also tend to like my books more on the R side to XR as far as rating for reading pleasure however even though her books are more PG-13 I liked her books.
She even added a free part of Jessica’s life before her next book is available, so if you love her then you are in for a treat.
Her website - http://www.bethfantaskey.com/index.html
Leave me a message on your preference on reading rates, do you like more books that are PG, PG-13, R, or XR, and why do you like that rating more than others.

1st day of blog challenge - Adele

Adele - Is a young lady who has an amazing voice, love of poetry, and is very hilarious. She is from the U.K. I just love their accents. When you hear her voice you think she must be an older woman from the wisdom and understanding in her lyrics. However she is only 21 to 22 years of age amazing what a person can accomplish if they set there minds to their goal. Her first album came out when she was only 19.This young lady has even won Grammy awards. I love her songs, hometown glory, rolling in the deep, and Rumor has it. There has been many response about her weight which I find just awful because she is gorgeous. She may not be toothpick skinny but that girl has serious curves. If I was into girls, I would so do her. She is funny and down to earth and can make me laugh so hard I am crying when I watch her interviews. One interview in particular with Graham Norton was hilarious. You can find this interview on YouTube, here is the links
Part 1 = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrBoWIR8Ogk&playnext=1&list=PLA0E99FEC48EBBBF0
Part 2 = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP8dXEEtHJY&feature=related
Part 3 = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qEAGnnPKOI&feature=related
What is your favorite song from Adele and why? Has her music inspired a poem, story or an emotion to help you write a scene in your book?
I tend to listen to classical music or techno when I write but I might just add her into the mix and see what flows on my word screen for my novel.

Going Vegan

Going Vegan is both easy and hard. I am deciding to go from regular Vegetarian to Vegan however I am finding the conversion a little difficult. The difficult part for me is eggs and cheese; I didn’t care too much for milk before so that was no problem. I may be weird for a women anyways but I never really liked ice cream either too sweet. So no problem giving up on ice cream either but cheese oh my goodness that is a little difficult lately I have been craving cheesy and extra cheese pizza. Eggs, when I went vegetarian I ate eggs but when my husband said no eggs in the house he never ate eggs in his whole life and did not want it in his house, I craved eggs like air for humans, oh my gosh I know crave egg salad sandwiches. Another difficulty will be going out to eat with friends because lets face it most likely I will have to eat salad; I guess that could help me lose a few pounds. This is hard but I am getting there, hopefully I will be a complete vegan soon but these cravings are going to be the death of me.

Chapter 2

Today I finished Chapter 2 of my first rough draft on my paranormal romance. My goal is to have my book done, edited and put out on the market by next summer. That would be 2012. I have been working on chapter 2 for several months, I told myself that I had to finish chapter 2 by the end of today. I want to at least get 1 to 2 chapters done a month. Let’s see how well I work on that goal. I will report to my audience every time I finish a chapter, so not only will you hold me responsible I don’t want to look like a failure which will get me going and not stopping. I am jumping up and down on finishing chapter 2 and I know that soon I will be finishing my last chapter.

Libraries

I love the Library. If you are a book whore then what better place is there for you?  Oh and the best part is that you can read books, watch movies, and take CD’s with you for FREE. I remember when I was younger I used to have to move around a lot and one summer I was in a new city with no friends  to spend the wonderful summer months with.  My mother took us to the library and that is where I found Heaven, I could check out as many books as I wanted as well as any movies I wanted to see. I would check out 30 books a week, see they became my friends.  A world I could go to and forget I had to take care of a small baby (my awesome brother) and no place to go to hang with friends, or a camp to go to. A new world I could learn about that had different people in or different situations I could learn about and no matter what they wouldn’t leave me.  As well as at the time which was in the 90’s if children checked out so many books that month you got coupons to go to DQ for free food, how awesome is that!!!! I was so excited to go to the library; it was the best place for me. Unfortunately, school came and I made real human friends and my poor book friends got left behind in the world of LIFE. Don’t feel too bad for my book friends though because they came into my life every once in a while over the years, they helped me through rough patches and scary situations as well as happy times.
Tell me your favorite library times, or even your favorite story that involves a book.

My First day at Blogging

Okay so I have no idea what to write or even where to begin. I am starting a romance novel and wanted to learn to be a better writer by well writing more. You know what they say the more you write the better a writer you will be. Practice makes perfect. Because of that philosophy I have started a blog. I don’t expect this blog to be viewed by millions, so here goes.
I remember in 5th grade my math teacher would always tell us that practice makes perfect, to practice, practice and practice some more. We were learning multiplication and every day he would give us 25 to 50 multiplication problems and we would have like 5 minutes to do the quiz. That was his idea of trying to make us better in math, it worked for me. I loved that math teacher. However the next year he became my English teacher. I didn’t like him so much after that. I hated Grammar; I am the worst at Grammar. Even in College my English Teachers would tell me “Very creative, very organized, work on your grammar.”
For that reason, I was always afraid to write, I figured that Grammar is one of the main ingredients and well I sucked at that so I couldn’t be a writer. Every day I battle with that voice in my head saying what are you doing you can’t write, nobody will read it and they will persecute you for your horrible Grammar but I write anyway.
